How funny and innocent is it when a 3 year old says a prayer? Well, a couple of hours ago we picked up our 2 boys from my parents house and we were heading home. It only took us 5 minutes to get there, because we only lived down the street. Anyways! We got home and just barely walked through the door when my 3 year old says, "Mom, I'm hungry!" so I gave him a choice of cheese (which is mac n' cheese) or saimini (ramen noodles) and as usual...cheese was the winner! So, I told my 3 year old to wait in the patio and watch tv while I made his cheese. It took me only 5 minutes to make it, because it was just one of those microwavable ones, anyways...I mixed the cheese and poured it on a plate and took to him...he quickly sat himself up and took the plate and sat it on his lap, then as soon as I was turning to make my other son's food, I stopped and turn to look at him, because I thought he was asking for something, but when I turned...he's arms were folded and his eyes were WIDE open and he was begining to say a prayer...he began with"...bless Siua's cheese, bless Pita's saimini, bless food..." then went on blessing things that only he could understand, then ended with an "Amen." As he ended...I felt happy and at the same time proud. I was happy, because obviously he can say a prayer on his own without me telling him to say one and proud, because my 3 year old was able to say and know when to say a prayer. Even though I try and try to get him to listen me on other things...I'm just glad that he has that down. It shows that I'm doing something right...lol!!
Oh how sweet! I can't wait until I get to hear my girls say the prayer.
